At Apex Guardian, our mission is to empower responsible gun owners through quality training,
expert guidance, and a commitment to safety.
Whether a student is pursuing a Maryland HQL, preparing for a Wear & Carry permit,
exploring multi-state concealed carry options, or starting from square one as a first-time owner,
the goal is the same: deliver instruction that is approachable, professional, and useful beyond the classroom.
We believe good instruction should remove confusion, build confidence, and help students leave
with a clear sense of what responsible ownership and lawful carry actually look like.
Founder Bio
A normal-guy background with a lifetime around firearms and hands-on problem solving.
Apex Guardian was founded by a retired IT Manager whose professional life was built on solving problems,
staying calm under pressure, and helping people make informed decisions. Outside of work, he also developed
hands-on experience in home improvement, automobile repair, and motorcycle repair, bringing a practical,
no-nonsense mindset to everything he teaches.
His connection to firearms started early. He received his first firearm at age twelve and was already serving
as a trap and skeet instructor by sixteen. That long relationship with responsible firearm use, combined with
years of concealed carry in everyday life, shapes a teaching style focused on realistic habits, sound judgment,
and personal responsibility rather than theatrics.
Today, he is an NRA certified pistol instructor and NRA concealed carry instructor. He is also an American Heart
Association certified BLS, ACLS, and PALS instructor, and he regularly teaches Maryland HQL, HGP CCW, BLS,
and ACLS classes.

First firearm at 12, trap and skeet instructor at 16, and daily concealed carrier for the last five years.
Instructor Credentials
NRA Certified Pistol Instructor and NRA Concealed Carry Instructor.
Medical Training Credentials
AHA certified BLS, ACLS, and PALS instructor who teaches BLS and ACLS classes regularly.
Permit Coverage
Current concealed carry permits for AZ, DC, FL, MD, PA, and NJ.
Core Teaching Areas
Maryland HQL, HGP CCW, life support training, and practical responsible ownership.

Refund & Cancellation Policy
Refund & Cancellation Policy – Apex Guardian Firearms Training
At Apex Guardian Firearms Training, we are committed to providing high-quality instruction while maintaining
fair and transparent policies for all students.
Class Registration & Payment
All class registrations must be paid in full at the time of booking to secure your seat.
Cancellations by Student
- Cancellations made at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled class are eligible for:
- A full refund, or
- A one-time reschedule at no additional cost

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the class are non-refundable,
but may be rescheduled once at our discretion.
No-Show Policy
Students who do not attend their scheduled class without prior notice will forfeit their payment
and will not be eligible for a refund or reschedule.
Rescheduling
- One reschedule is permitted per booking
- Additional reschedules may be subject to a fee
Instructor Cancellations
If Apex Guardian cancels or reschedules a class for any reason, students will be offered:
- A full refund, or
- The option to reschedule at no additional cost
Course Satisfaction
Due to the nature of training services, refunds are not provided once a class has been attended.
Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
By purchasing a course, you agree to this policy. We encourage customers to contact us directly to resolve any concerns before initiating a dispute with their payment provider.
